The Fairway Ladies offer both 18-hole morning play and 9-hole Sunday afternoon play to accommodate all skill levels.
Morning 18-Hole Play
Reserved tee times: Saturdays, Sundays, and major holidays
Seven tee times available, starting at 7:50 a.m. (unless otherwise posted)
Afternoon 9-Hole Play
Reserved tee times: Saturdays, Sundays and major holidays
Four tee times available, starting at 3:00 p.m. (unless otherwise posted)
Perfect for beginners and those looking for a relaxed, fun round while learning the game and etiquette.
Members are welcome to play in either time slot! New golfers are encouraged to start with the 9-hole Sunday group to build confidence in a supportive setting.
In the spirit of league play and camaraderie, members will play with different members each week.
Signing Up to Play
Sign up by Monday at 6 p.m. via online link (available at Member Clubhouse Page and emailed weekly)
A confirmation list will be emailed Tuesday— any changes must be requested by emailing teetimes@fairwayladies.org by early Wednesday before tee times are finalized.
If spots fill up, priority goes to those who signed up by the Monday deadline.
Volunteer Roles
Pairing Coordinator (Monthly) – Manages sign-ups, pairs players, assigns Tee Coordinators.
Tee Coordinator (Day-of) – Checks in with the Pro Shop, adjusts groups, ensures on-time starts.
Day-of Play Expectations
Arrive 15 minutes early; late arrivals may lose their spot.
Play is expected unless the course is closed or carts are banned.
Cancellations: Email teetimes@fairwayladies.org ASAP. If canceling same-day, also call the Pro Shop (617-265-4084).
On the Course
Stay directly behind the group in front, not just ahead of the group behind.
Help your partners by watching their shots and assisting in finding balls.
If your ball might be lost or out of bounds, hit a provisional ball.
Bring two likely clubs to your ball to avoid extra trips.
Play ready golf—if it’s safe and you're prepared, take your shot.
If using a cart, move it to the next spot before putting clubs away and marking your score.
On the Green
The player closest to the hole should manage the flagstick.
Avoid stepping on another player’s putting line.
Stay out of a player’s line of sight and remain still and quiet during putts.
The first player to finish should replace the flagstick.
Leave the green quickly and mark scores at the next tee.
If behind schedule, use continuous putting—each player putts until finished.
This keeps play smooth and enjoyable for everyone!
