Season-Long Ringer Tournament Begins
• Entry fee is $10 per golfer (must be paid before scores can be posted).
• Players who paid with their membership are eligible to post Ringer Scores beginning on May 1.
• Ringer scores can be posted until and including October 31.
Format
• Your “Ringer” is the lowest score you earned on each hole.
• Scores must come from rounds played during weekend league play and all Match Play rounds. You must hole out for the ringer to count.
• Participating players will receive a special card to keep track of their Ringers (available in the Ringers folders in the locker room). Players should update their Ringer card after each round and return the card to the red binder.
• Midway through the season, entrants will be flighted based on the August 1st USGA handicap revision. After flights are created, a Ringer update will be provided by the Handicap Chair.
• The number of flights will be based on the number of entrants. Prizes will be awarded for low gross in each flight.
• Should you lose your Ringer card, you must request a new one from Denise Dodds, and, unfortunately, start over unless you have a hole-by-hole record of your scores.

• Flights will be posted and play may begin on May 20.
• Matches must be completed by October 31.
Note: Matches must be played at Franklin Park, and may be played outside of regular league tee times, on any day of the week. Match scores count as league play.
Format
• Teams are arranged in flights based on combined handicap.
• Use 90% of current USGA Handicaps on the day the match is played.
• Lowest handicap plays at scratch (0); remaining players subtract that handicap from their handicap and use the remaining handicap strokes. See example scorecard posted on the board. Partner with higher handicap is capped at 10 strokes higher than her partner.
• Teams exchange scorecards marked with handicap holes prior to play.
• Better ball of partners, net score, is awarded a point for each hole won.
• If a player cannot complete the matches due to injury or other significant reason, the remaining partner may seek out another partner with a handicap as close as possible to the departing player’s handicap. The Tournament Committee will determine if the replacement player can serve as the substitute.
• If a match can’t be completed due to rain (course deemed unplayable) or darkness, if the match has completed 9 holes, then the score for the front 9 will stand. The players may then reschedule a time to replay the back 9. The card will be restroked for the rescheduled match.
• Highest total points from the matches within each flight will be the winner.
• If total points are tied, the winner will be determined, in this order: head-to-head score, head-to-head score on the most difficult handicap holes starting with #7, #16, #3, etc.
